Ripped glove

I tore a small hole in my Gore-tex glove yesterday- it caught on my ice axe pick as I took a short fall. I do not believe the actual Gore-tex is cut, but the finger of the glove has a tear in it. Can it be stitched back together regularly with little ill effect, or did I just lose all waterproofness (the reason I bought these gloves)?

Seam Grip is your friend. It can fill small gouges in leather or neoprene and seal stitched-up cuts in gore-tex and other waterproof fabrics. Works great on tent seams and on wetsuits and drysuits too (it's basically a thicker version of Aquaseal, which is the cold-water divers' friend).
