Does MEC have your size in any of their other stores? If so they'll mail them to the closest store so you can try them on. My wife had to get her Nepals sent from Vancouver. She wears a 9US running shoe and settled on a EU 40.5.

Just checked the MEC site and those sizes appear to be in stock in Montreal or Vancouver.

I'll assume you already checked the basement at Europe Bound downtown.

The Nepals are a low volume boot. I have narrow feet and they work well for me, but a lot of people can't wear them. I'd guess the women's version is similarly narrow. In any case, if you wear a size 9.5-10, why wouldn't you just try on the men's version to see how it fits? Also, if you're planning to wear these right out of the box for a major mountaineering objective, you could be in for some misery. The break-in time is significant.

Don't exopect to find mountaineering boots in DC. We have a few REI stores and a couple of EMS stores, but they don't stock what you are looking for.

Intuition liners can be ordered directly from Intuition Sports if you want. You can mold them yourself using a hot air tube heater at a local ski shop. If you order them be sure to ask Intuition to send a pair of toe caps. If you want to know how to mold them send me an email at admin@adventureclimbing.ca. Also, there used to be a dealer in Mississagua that sold and molded them at her house. I'll see if I still have her information and if she's still doing it.

I have Denali liners in my Koflach Verticals and my wife has their Alpine liner in her Degres. The Denali liners are better in mountaineering boots because of their low cut tops. The Alpine liners left "dents" in my wife's shins and the extra length at the top isn't really required.

By the way, did you try contacting Eastern Mountain Sports in Amherst, NY regarding the Nepals?

I have size 39 Nepals - that's about one Euro size larger than what I normally wear, so they run small. They are a boot that is narrow in the heel - which is what I have, but seem fine across the ball - I am fairly wide there. I love these boots and have never had a blister in them. However, getting today's crampons to fit is another issue - the heels are so narrow, that I am going to have to shim them in the heels to get crampons to fit properly. You may want to consider a different model.
