I want to get my brother some crampons for ski touring. He already ski tours but never needed crampons but i was to take him on some trips crossing some ice etc. I personally use my G12's which fit to my ski boots fine. However i didn't want to spend that much on some crampons which will only be for light use rather than actual climbing.

Any suggestions on some good value light use crampons that could be used with ski boots and ideally also walking boots?

I have the G12s for climbing but got the Camp XLC390 for ski touring.

I have XLC 390s, but wouldn't use them on "ice" that had any significant gradient-- hard snow, yes. The XLC 390s are not that cheap either.

^^^don't think he's looking for ski crampons, rather crampons to wear with ski touring boots and also possibly other hiking/climbing boots

I've used Stubai Ultralight Universals with approach shoes for non-technical ice for the past ~5 years. I just checked and they fit nicely on my AT boots.

The only thing I don't like about them is that the plastic cuts into your ankle with low top shoes but I created some padding with leftover skins from my skis and that helps.

A buddy of mine uses those Stubai Ultralights with the universal bindings with his Lowa Struktura AT Boot and they seem to work well for him.

Personally, I use an older pair of BD Savertooths on my Scarpa Denali TT boots and they are great. I use the step in variety. Got them off teh Flea-bay about 4-5 years ago for less than $60 brand new, in the box. They replaced an older set of Salewa hinged strap on crampons that I actually also used a few time with the scarpa ski boots...

Additional note:

My old Grivel step-ins (the kind with the front bail) also fit my AT boots, but of course they're limiting when it comes to other types of shoes/boots. The Stubais are lighter.

Neither would I. But with skis I tend to stay away from steep, icy stuff anyways...
Most of the time crampons stay in the pack when skiing, so light is right

I guess the OP needs to clarify what he means by "but i was to take him on some trips crossing some ice etc."

G12's on Dynafit boots worked great for ascending Shasta's West Face this year!
