touche. trying some sort of makeshift sled will be much less cold and much safer.

Interesting idea.

Although I have not done this, I have seen people drag kayaks up to Camp Muir on Mt. Rainier and decend the gentle slopes of the Muir Snowfield.

Braking a sled is problematic with no good solutions.

Some people mount chains underneath the sled for a brake.

Maybe use one or two ice screws on each side?

There won't be any results. Stef is a planner, not a do-er.
