Question: Mountaineering Boots (La Sportiva, Zamberlan etc)

Hi all
I am in the market for a pair of crampon compatible mountaineering boots.
I had a pair of La Sportiva Glaciers but I think they were half a size to a size too small since they used to totally destroy my toes on descent. I retired those and in the meantime picked up a pair of Zamberlan Vioz backpacking boots (not crampon compatible). Those fit awesome.
I was in the store yesterday hoping that the Zamberlan Pelmo GT boots would fit and that would do the trick. But unfortunately they are a bit too big in the heel area and i have a bit of lift ...really strange since Vioz in the same size fit great.

So I tried La Sportiva Karakorums and Nepals. Those fit way better but they didnt have Karakorums in the exact size I wanted (For those wondering my size is 10.5 and the La Sportiva Nepal Evos fit great a 11.5).

I live in BC and most of my trips will be here and also Baker and Rainier. Do you think the Nepals are too much boot for summer mountaineering in this area?

Thanks,

La Sportiva Nepal Top Evos would be great for Baker and Rainier and would also be a great boot for ice climbing and mixed alpine routes. I might be a bit too much of a boot for alpine rock routes like North Ridge of Stuart.
