here's my typical gear list for what you are describing. i substitute things in and out based on the time of year and forecast:

mammut dri-release long sleeve tee-shirt
patagonia fleece vest w/windstopper front
cloudveil run don’t walk hoody (worn w or as base layer)
wild things hooded wind shirt
eVent hard shell (if the forecast calls for pain)
patagonia men's micro puff pullover or wild things belay jacket (early season)
under armor heat gear compression shorts
patagonia running tights
gym short
cloudveil rayzar soff shell pants
wild things wind pants
outdoor research neoplume pants (early season)
pearl izumi fleece gloves w/outdoor research gore mitten shells
hestra Heli's
OR mutants (early season)
boonie hat
microfleece hat
neoprene facemask

instead of a typical soft shell jacket i like to wear the polar stretch hoody, which is highly breathable and add the wind shirt if needed. i'm a bit neurotic when it comes to my hands so i tend not to head off without two pairs of gloves. i could lighten the load and replace the belay jacket with something down-insulated, but i already own it, and i think of it (right or wrong) as my bullet-proof vest. i have hard shell pants, but i can't remeber the last time i took them out of the gear bin.

just some food for thought as you fine-tune your own selection

Dane,

It doesn't say what weight Primaloft the Cirro Hoody is. Do you know?

Amazingly enough no ;-) But I will ask.

A little pre review review.

BR spared no expense in materials:

Primaloft One® insulation...•60 gm/m² weight.
Pertex™ for the shell fabric, a lightweight water resistant rip-stop nylon.
Two way, dbl slider, main zipper and a helmet compatable hood. Stand alone high collar
Two hand and one outside chest pockets. One inside chest pocket.

Zipper on the outside chest pocket is designed as a stuff bag for the jacket. And has a real haul loop, carabiner sized.
Stuffed size is 7" x 8" x 3". The perfect tiny pillow size.

MY generiously sized XL (which I constantly carried in my pack and used over a Atom Lt and Atom SV combo for two bivies) weights in at
14.7oz or 418g. They list a Med at 14oz. You know what I am measuring it against, the Compressor, the Nano and the Atoms Combo, and imo this thing ROCKS.

I'm sure I've been overthinking this whole thing. I may try out that Cirro Hoody, synthetic seems very appealing being in the Seattle area. I hiked Mt Si last night for the third time this week, first 3 miles were pouring rain, last mile snowing hard and it got very windy. Can't wait to get up in the real mountains.
