Fitting crampons to hiking boots

I have a pair of Asolo 200 boots that I'd like to use for a bigger glacier (Granite). I've tried several crampons/strap systems by grivel, BD, Petzl, but none of them will seem to fit snugly. It seems like many boots flair near the bottom and the crampons won't seat properly. Even some strategic cutting doesn't appear to help the fit. Anyone have ideas on different crampons or attachments?

Is that the Power Matic 200 GV? A backcountry.com reviewer indicated they were happy using CAMP Ice Rider Universal crampons on some Patagonian glaciers.

I have those boots and my BD contact strap ons fit decently. On the other hand, Scarpa Charmoz boots are infinitely better for climbing and accept hybrid crampons.
