Question for Hilleberg Nammatj owners

Hello all, I'm hoping for feedback from owners of Hilleberg "Nammatj" tents (and to a lesser extent Nallo owners).

I realize that the Nammatj (and Nallo) have a sloping back wall. My question is would a 5'10" person (70") have enough room to sleep with their head at the sloping end and feet at the door? I'm kind of goofy that way but I prefer to sleep with my feet facing the door of a tent. The inner tent of my Hilleberg Tarra is only 83" long, vs the 87" inner tent length of the Nammatj and Nallo. The big difference is that the Tarra interior has near vertical walls, so it makes no difference which end your head is at (espcecially considering they are both doors). I've been trying to mentally picture how much longer an extra 4" would make it, while adding a sloping wall.

I love my Tarra, and it will be my main tent for a number of uses, but a slightly (3 lbs) lighter tent would be nice for backpacking, hence my interest in the Nammatj. Thanks in advance for any help.

PS- If anyone has pictures of their "Sand" colored Hilleberg tent (any models), I'd love to see them. The photos on the website aren't always true to real life color and look.

I have a 3-person red-color Nammatj. My guess is that the rear wall would be touching your face if you sleep this way.

Ah, OK. Thanks for the head's up. With only me in there, I wonder how it would work at an angle... I really like the features of the Nammatj. I might just have to live with this one minor hickup.

I'll be doing a 3 month evaluation of the Nammtj 3GT starting from next month.

Are you going to sleep one person in a 3 person tent? If this is the case you can almost sleep in whatever position you fancy.

I have slept more than 100 days in my Nammatj 3 GT and I would not consider sleeping the opposite way. I am rather tall but am almost certain that the rear wall would be touching your face even though you are quite short. The slope is even steeper on the Nallo (I have the Nallo 2 GT).

Suggest to find a store where they have it pitched and see if it works.

Thanks for the feedback. I don't think I specified 2 or 3 in my original post, but actually I'm buying the two person, Nammatj 2. But yes, for the most part I'll be sleeping solo (plus dog) in the 2 man tent. Unfortunately no stores in my state carry Hillebergs, so I can't check it out in person. That said, I'll be able to try it soon enough. I like so many aspects of the Nammatj 2 that I'm going to buy it anyways. I'll just consider it icing on the cake if I can sleep the opposite direction. If not, it won't be a deal breaker.
