Anyone likes or hates them?

I heard they are quite good, but rack bulky?

I like them, however don't own any. They do rack more bulky than other screws, but on the plus side they go into the ice clean and do not get hung up on any features on the surface of the ice when you are screwing them all the way in. I use BD turbos which I like because they are more streamlined on your rack, however I do find myself chipping away the ice around the screw a bit to get it in flush as the hanger won't always clear.

I use them and like them. I don't carry a whole rack of them (because as mentioned above, they don't rack as easily as others) but they are great on "featured" ice for avoiding having to chip out ice to get them all the way in. I typically have at least 2 of these on my rack when I'm climbing water ice.

360 is OK but I don't use them any more. Pain in the ass in many ways, racking isn't one of them though. Excellet tube, hanger not so good in my opinion. As it is too slow in use for steep technical ice. Helix on the other hand is the same screw, different hanger. I think the Helix is the best technical screw made. Racking is no big deal. And I have used damn near every screw made to date. Helix wins any competition hands down.

I found an interesting comparison on Grivel/BD a couple ofwinters ago and wrote up my thoughts.

Grivel Helix Speedy 10's... simpler to use, can not loose it putting it in, then cleaning it and better racking.

I've found the "speedy" version to be none of things listed fwiw.

Odd.

Stevie not only help design the concept, but in fact swears by them. As do I.

But he is known to be a tad bit controversial and an anomaly. Probably why I see eye to eye with much of his philosophy & ideals.

I own several of these, have only compared them to BD products. They don't bite as well as the BDs, but go in much easier (handle design?) Fit in smaller spots, but do rack a little oddly. I've managed a system on my clippers, but it's not intuitive like the BDs.
