Been using the Edelrid megajoule and microjoule for several months now. Really like them, but yesterday, while rappelling, this happened:



Makes me a bit worried about Edelrid's quality control measures.

Today, my Edelrid Megajoule failed in the same way, when my belayer was lowering me off of a climb.

Went out and bought a Petzl Reverso 4. Edelrid Joule devices truly suck.
