Bump
and i just did a bit of research and apparently it's primaloft so perhaps i was to hasty in my shunning of north face and apparently it has the fill power of 600 fill down i take this with a grain of salt, but if it's true why has primaloft given it soley to the north face, but bad news with it is that it dosnt compress well when wet.

I tested it.....very warm. I have first hand experience with Primaloft and love it. My issue with the jacket is that the shell fabric is very thin. A light shell over it would solve the issue. Rock and Ice compared 5 different light insulating layers and the Thermoball jacket reviewed the best and was actually the 2nd LEAST expensive. Packs down to the size of a tennis ball. Doesn't lose insulating capability when compressed, so pack straps won't let air in around shoulders. Don't write off every TNF piece.....there are good things they make,

Thanks guys. If something thermoball has about the same weight as my micropuff, I'll go for it.

I would love to see an equivalent of a DAS parka by the north face now they have this super synthetic, also just looked at the prices (£140) and might just get my self one being in the uk which as you may know is an extremely wet country so seems just perfect.
