I have posted links to other versions of this same article elsewhere, but I recently posted it as an article on SummitPost, and thought it would be worth a mention in the forum. Hopefully, it will prove to be helpful to somebody out there.

Thanks Christopher. Good article. I just spent over an hour yesterday trying on boots and I didn't get halfway though all the boots I wanted to look at. Looking for a new summer light hiker.

Hope Washington is treating you well because mountains have yet to sprout up here in MN.

Ahh... Washington was awesome while it lasted! We just moved back to the mountainless Minnesota. Kinda funny that I took a long hiatus from SummitPost while living out there, and now I find myself checking it again since being back in Minnesota.

Eventually we plan to return "home" to Washington, but with a little one born in January, we wanted to be closer to family for awhile.

Still doing any climbing? After our house remodel is complete, I'll have a little more time to get out. Let me know if you wanna meet up at Taylor's Falls sometime.
