Tendon damage/sprain on outside of foot

Messed up my right foot 2 weeks ago in an accident on the stairs.....ok, I jumped down 10 stairs to get under my little girl who was falling down them. Anyway, I was barefoot and landed funny and had a lot of internal bleeding into my 4 smaller toes. All of the blood has gone away and I can still bike, incline treadmill, stairmaster, lift, etc with very little discomfort. But if I'm walking, and roll onto the outside too much, it hurts moderately. Any ideas to speed up recovery? I'd like to get off of it, but I need to keep my fitness up for Gannett in 3 weeks. Like I said, most of that cardio doesn't hurt it at all, and being in a stiff boot would protect it a good bit. I've been using elevation, ice, NSAIDS, etc and have run out of other ideas.

My recommendation would be to see a good orthopedic podiatrist. You may have some tendon/ligament damage that an ortho-pod would be able to diagnose. Although I'm sure he/she would tell you to cancel your trip if that were the case.

That's what happened to my East Africa trip after developing tendonitis in my foot.
