Another empty page:

http://www.summitpost.org/zawratowa-turnia/845023

I am sure people who submit such pages mean well, but obviously misunderstand the whole point of the process. In an earlier post I suggested a script to catch these types of pages in the chute.

Granted, the page is brand new. However, the give-away (to me) is that the person left all the fields untouched. Invariably they're not looking that far down and probably see this as some sort of "log".

Josh, it is a duplicate page, which is fine by me, SP can have all the duplicate pages it wants...I don't want my name associated with it as it is not my work. Although my name does not appear on the page itself, it appears to be attached to my list of routes. Yes, I have climbed this route, it is considered a North American Classic. I have already added this route to SP.....this page is a duplicate with no owner name specified.

I was going to delete it, but then noticed that it had nothing in the history. So I left it to find out if there is a glitch in SP. Maybe it was a previously deleted page that somehow came back under some SP change. I'll post this in the possible bugs thread.

Did it recently appear as an attachment on the page? Or has it always been there?

There are three albums posted today under the heading "Gourmandise Gifts," two of which appear to be duplicates/incomplete/early attempts to create a page. The third page has one picture for a commercial advertisement. The album appears to be nothing more than commercial advertising by somebody who signed up with nothing but these posts.

I have just come back from another trek in the Carpathians, brought some good photographs and would like to request the "ownership" of this page: http://www.summitpost.org/ciucas/154123
The current owner has not logged in for about eight years. What's more, all/most of the text seems to be just a translation of an article published in a Romanian magazine.

Did you climb it? And if so, did you summit?

I guess LukZem did climb the summit of Ciucas
http://www.summitpost.org/pans-saddle-1745m/862314
but it's not that important as we are talking about an area page mistakenly posted as a mtn/rock.

Didn't realized it was an area (considering the page object type). I changed the object type to an area/range. LukZem, after reviewing your nice pages I've decided that you would be great candidate for owning the page. It's now yours. 8)

THANKS (I've climbed the summit of Ciucas and covered the distance of more than 30 km in two-days trek:)

PM sent to the author. Unless the page is completely useless I like to contact the author first. The map in this case is what convinced me that maybe there is hope in this case.

I'm not sure what the idea is behind this gear review, but it's not a gear review:
