andreeacorodeanu wrote:Almost everything is from the book "Piatra Craiului by Emilian Cristea" just in romanian. Also the romanian site carpati.org copied from the same book but at least they mention this, check here: http://www.carpati.org/ghid_montan/munt ... rezentare/

Bob Sihler wrote:Before I approach this member, I need to be clear: is the copying word for word or almost so, or is it just obvious that the user relied heavily on the book and not his own knowledge?

I think you mean the first, but I want to be sure.

Bob,

Have a look at

paragraphs 2 to 4 of this overview here on SP
Compare with paragraphs 5-6 of this
Throw in this excellent Red Tape chapter, not to mention the pix (from a wiki?)

Nuke the page.

Now compare this SP chapter
with the Park's page

Then transfer the Piatra Craiului page to Andreea

Actually, it should be gone, and it is.

For the second, I hardly understand the pages of this user.

Perhaps Borut could take this one.
For the rest, you could say in short that contributions from users Palaleo, Dalton and Martin184 should be removed ? ;)

I say it's (anybody's) litter that should be removed, even if you have given it a 10. 8)

I deleted them all but the article; I don't really understand that one, either, but it's under construction, the guy has collaborated with Antonio Giani on pages, and it's an article, not a big deal. But I'll watch to see if it develops.

I have sent an email to the owner since he was recently active. In it, I have explained that his pages need work and that there are people interested in doing it, and I have asked if he is willing to share or transfer. Also, I have said that if he keeps the pages but does not improve them, I will probably transfer them to the interested parties.

Well see how he responds, if he does, and go from there.

First and foremost, thank you for your time and effort. Second, I think I can (based on what I've seen just recently) predict what happens: The owner offers to share, somebody gets attracted and starts doing the job while the owner doesn't even bother to reply to his admin's emails, the other guy gets frustrated and takes his stuff off the page. The question remains: Why do such owners "create" a mtn/area page instead of an album (not to mention things such as having another pint in the local) – to stop others having fun :?:

Ania has now signed up to SP, so I reckon these pages could be adopted. Me and LukZem more or less agreed with Ania taking ownership of the Area/Range page, and LukZem of the three mountain pages. with the other getting admin rights to the respective pages, and me on the background as an editor (Ania's English is not so great...)
I know Ania (who's in Zawiercie right now, so I don't know what she and LukZem have discussed already) and LukZem have exchanged some pm's lately, so maybe they can come out of this thread and share their insights with us... :)
PM has been sent to both.

Cheers,
Clint.

So if it is possible I would take ownership of Bieszczady Area/Range and LukZem takes these three mountain pages. I would be appreciate.
Last time when LukZem was in Bieszczady he made really unique short video documentary.
Moreover he’s planning to visit Bieszczady one more time (probably in winter) to finalize this documentary so we’re going to wait some time, because our vision is to create absolutely professional pages. :)
Cheers,
Ania

Technically, I have to wait until 9/22, because I set it at two full calendar days. However, I'm strongly considering changing it to one full calendar day, but fairness dictates I don't enforce that until I change it.

But have you all noticed some pages gone missing the past few days? :D
