Ethics, Spray, and Slander

I know the new forum's in its infancy, but I've yet to hear any slander. There's only been the usual amount of spray from the usual suspects. And if this was a canyoneering forum, there'd already be 10 pages on bolting ethics. What the hell? Do we have nothing to gripe, piss, moan or brag about?

Libel pertains to the written word, slander the spoken.

Maybe Clyde shouldn't have abandoned that guy.

He did!

He basically told him to fk off when Brower was in the process of firing him as the lead guide for SCOC!

I think Gary was referring to the guy Clyde wanted to abandon on the Matterhorn Glacier. Clyde got the SC boot right after that.

Yup....

Sometimes we make mistakes even when the folks we are hired to lead, may just deserve the boot. From many of the accounts, the gent that Norm ditched pretty much did it on his own and deserved it.

Right or wrong, it is what it was.

Ironically, two weeks later after this incident, Clyde's incredible experience was requested to search for a lost camper in the Ritter/Banner area.
