Will Global Cooling, which is the direct opposite of Global Warming, cause the Bering Sea's Land Bridge, (previously connecting Russia to Alaska),

to reappear as a natural physical entity ???

Wouldn't that be too cool :?: What's your view ?

:D

The patterns of global cooling will be extremely local. Most of the world will be unchanged. However, glaciers will begin to form in the Superstition Mts. Weaver's Needle will have ice flowing by at the 4000' level. The brother who can inhale the sea will be charged with the murder of the boy who drowned. He will be saved by, among others, the brother with the iron neck. If you doubt anything I predict, you are a denier, one of the low-lifes who don't vote the same way I do. Al Gore may give a speech in which he compares you to the people who ruled Germany before World War II. Be careful, we are watching.

Then again...

Image

...why wait for the world-wide train system to be completed when there is so much ice to drive across some winters?

Image

I don't think the land connection in itself will lead to a whole lot more of this...

...but what animals might dare such a trek besides drunk polar bears?

Attention please ... for those who are STILL watching ...

Do you see how this has suddenly turned into a political issue ?

My advise ? ? ?

(1) Stand clear of all political issues.

(2) Keep all "non - mountain - related" viewpoints to yourself.

(3) Don't Fear The Reaper ... 8)

Transit centers are notoriously dangerous. You never know who might show up. Of course, you might miss out on some adventures if you dwell on it too much.

BTW, California and Boston have some heated mass transit issues going on as of late. Maybe the Trans-Bering Rail Tunnel will have more luck if it tracks start from those spots. Buy me a ticket, will ya? 8)

I was hoping to find some fun Geo stuff in here but instead it's littered with the usual Bullshit. I'm fresh out...

...except for some fun stories of teleportation and being jumped by wannabe gangstas on the way to Boise.

I couldn't help but remember this Ethics,Spray, and Slander thread, and one other, while watching the first several minutes of the Colbert Report: http://www.colbertnation.com/full-episodes/wed-june-20-2012-daniel-klaidman.
