I know this route and its basically a solo for an experience climber, it was my first winter route nearly 20 years ago, no crampons or ice axes I was pettrified and it was solo with a good friend !
I`m not sure why this guy wanted to take footage of the climb, it`s quite boring and as pointed out you`r helmet sahould be to stop stuff not to put things on it !
It looks to me that he totally lost it when he saw the piece of ice comming towards him, he had two ice axes therefore one should have been a bomber to arrest his fall in the first place !
Mistakes happend and this guy got away with it, hope he learnt his lesson, think he suffered bruising and a cracked or broken ankle lucky chappy....
