You should have checked SP before you left...! There's a page here for the Foothills Trail.

Thanks, George. We knew the trail up the mountain was there...just didn't have enough time to hike all the way up as this was an extension from a work trip in Atlanta. Just didn't know about the ~40 mile length of the trail. So many places to hike....so little free time!

Who is going to the Highpointers Konvention in Oregon on June 8-9? I would suggest that Summitpost members who are attending write a small "SP" on their name tag. A good place to meet would be at the June 7, Thursday night ice breaker at the Ice Axe Grill in Government Camp. See ya there.

Afraid I won't be there. I am happy to say I finally got around to joining the HPers club this past winter and look forward to meeting some folks at a Konvention one of these days.

We will be headed elsewhere in the PNW on June 9 for a very long-awaited second attempt on Rainier. Can't wait!

Cool article, brings back good memoirs of Panorama Point. I tagged that summit at 3:30am!

bagged CO, ND and SD this memorial day weekend...40/50 now.

On the day we climbed Elbert, it was averaging 45-55mph wind and gust over 75mph, I forgot to bring my wind jacket and face mask, so it was brutally cold for me, caught a cold because of the wind chill and high elevation, struggled a lot for this peak, good thing is my wife and I both made it. We then drove to see devil's tower in WY, hiked White Butte at 9 PM and Harney Peak the second day, I think we saw more cows than people in ND.

Some cool cell phone shots for White Butte.

Nice pictures! Those were taken with cell phone? pretty awesome. your filling your map up very systematically. I almost got to do ND and SD but my wife's work trip to Denver that I was tagging along with got cancelled.

Cool! Actually on our way drive out (9:30PM) we saw another car driving in - I am guessing it's another highpointer vehicle. It's already dark.

Those are fantastic pictures of White Butte. You should submit them to Gerry Roach for next year's Highpointers Calendar (2014).
