I've been looking at doing some skydiving in the near future. It would be seriously cool to try something like that someday.

Me too. I remember when skysurfing also came on the scene, but with wingsuits, humankind has finally learnt how to fly. BASE jumping without a wingsuit has no margin for error, though that guy who skims the road was cutting it fine if there was any ground-effect wind. This would certainly give you some cardio work - like mine would be going 140. I really can't yet imagine what it's like to fly past those walls at 100mph. Hurrah for insane sports.

Google these things, you'll find plenty of movies and pictures of guys who "skimmed" too closely.

Wouter. I did some Googling. And nearly went Ga, Ga. Just seen a bunch of guys sailing down a snowfilled mountainside. Ascending climbers must have felt a bit miffed. If they haven't done already, someone is going to make a ski landing. Apart from the purity of climbing a big wall, I wonder if anything can upstage wingsuiting.

Sender films has a pretty good DVD that includes some great climbing stuff as well as some awesome BASE stuff. The "sharp end" is about leading new routes and pushing limits, and it's quite well done.
