Hello,

I am working on an obituary. For this I would need the lyrics of this song from the seventies.

It is pretty difficult to understand; here's what I could figure out. Any help appreciated.

(I guess every second line of the verse should rhyme with the previous.)

What does it mean when stands the river
* What's a lake that fails to ... [~ there are no ripples, the lake is dead calm]
And the wind that doesn't blow
It means they live no more
* Like a motion that has not been ... [~it is broken]
Like a road that never leads anywhere
Like a waterfall that dries in a crust
If I don't go I am lost

I'd be the grass that grows everywhere
For your breath how I would be the fresh air
I'd be the word to get to you alone
A guiding hand when you're old
* Were I a dance that ... running round
The heart of the Earth would start to pound
In this heart let I be the blood
And who always moves and never stops

Mit jelent, ha áll a folyó
Mit jelent, ha sima a tó
Mit jelent, ha áll a szél
Azt, hogy már nem él

Mint a mozdulat, ha félbemarad
Mint az út, amelynek vége szakad
Mint a vízesés, mely megfagyott
Ha nem megyek, nem vagyok

Lennék f?, mely újra kin?
Lennék lélegzetnek friss leveg?
Lennék szó, mely szól Neked
Lennék kéz, mely vezet

Volnék tánc, mely körbeforog
Mit?l a Föld szíve dobog
S én lennék egy szívben a vér
Mely soha nem áll, de visszatér

Yes, I already have the Hungarian lyrics, thanks. I need the English lyrics though. Sorry if I wasn't clear.

I've probably done the same GOOGLE searches as you Michael, and can't get anywhere with this.

I've sent a PM to Lolli asking her to read this thread. She is quite good on some rock music.

I'm sorry, I can't find "Movin' World" translated to English.
I've never heard it in English either.

What does it mean when the river is
What does it mean when the lake plain (still?)
What does it mean when the wind is
That is no longer alive

As a gesture, if félbemarad
Like the way in which an end
Like the waterfall, which has been frozen
If you do not go, I'm not

I f?, Which re-kin?
I would be breath of fresh air?
I would be involved, what about you
I would hand that leads to

I would dance, which Whirling
What? L of the Earth's heart beats
And I had a heart, the blood
Which never stops, but returns

google translate
maybe a help to translate it?

Thanks Lolli!

You can listen to the song at the YouTube link I mentioned:

Can you understand the words they are singing?

Alas, I cannot.
It feels as I ought to, but it's the melody of the language, not the words.

Moving World

What does it mean a standstill river
What's a lake that fails to quiver
And the wind that doesn't blow
It means they live no more

Like a motion that has stopped in the air
Like a road that never leads anywhere
Like a waterfall that dies in the frost
If I don't go I am lost

I'd be the grass that grows everywhere
For your breath how I would be the fresh air
I'd be the word to get to you alone
A guiding hand when you're old

Were I a dance that spins round and round
The heart of the Earth would start to pound
In this heart let I be the blood
Who always moves and never stops

This is a famous song by Omega (original is in Hungarian). This English version comes from the band directly - thanks!
