The Operating cost for the Park's two LAMA's, isn't cheap....

I am a huge believer in user fees and increases in same for over-populated designated wilderness areas (of which Denali and Rainier definitely both qualify). Bob's previous statement really says it all but I will add that the majority of folks who want to climb those two mountains among the masses think nothing of $500 for a jacket or pair of boots. The cost to taxpayers babysitting these folks far exceeds any fees charged.
