Hahahahaha!...I guess you wouldn't want possible rain to damage your bike in the long run...... I like the arm around the bike!
@Scott-
its nice to feel that way about your wife. I know my favorite person to climb with is my husband. Really he's the only person I think can take my sometimes blunt point of view on a hike or climb or know when I'm being sarcastic. Other people I guess I give the benefit of social politeness to and who needs that when your sweating up a giant hunk of rock and getting dust in your eyes?!

Dunno, but since I spent about 1/10th the amount of time on SP that she does on Farcebook, she has nothing to complain about.

The question is always the same when she walks by and sees the home page on the screen: "planning a hike?"

Or incredulous after once noticing I had spent nearly 3 hours working on a new page: "you're still working on a report for that Summit whatever!"

Seems like SummitPost can't catch a break lately. Vilified as "Porn", its very existence questioned under "Is SP Doomed", and now this thread. Well at least Montana Matt prettied up this (forum) part of her corpus.

Not to get away from the thread, but what does SP look like in female form and would this help or hinder your relationship with your wife or SO?

Yeah.... you kinda do. They're easy to find.... lot's of 'em are cruising the supermarket aisles and bookstores, while their man is on some dumb-ass SP forum.

ahahaha you got that right my friend!

As much as I wish that I had, I did not invent the term. I first heard it from Dean, and Scott claims to have coined it. I just immortalized it. :wink:

Actualy my research has Mrs Dean Molen as the atuhor of SummitPorn... :lol:

No she doesn't hate Summitpost, but she hated PnP!

Scott wrote:Anyway, my wife helps me choose which photos to add to my pages and trip reports and edits most of my submissions (especially trip reports) before I post them.

She's a real sweety and I love her very much. She is my best friend.
I have climbed some really remote mountains, have been on some fairly hard climbs and adventures and have climbed with literally hundreds of people, but my favorite climbing partners are my wife and kids. I really couldn't ask for better climbing partners than them. Before my wife and I met, she hadn't ever even been on an easy hike and now we have been on so many adventures together and will continue to do so (though our traveling days are mostly over). Being married is the best thing in the world.

Excellent Post Scott-you've got it all!
