Like I said, its surprising to see climbers hurling rocks in their glass house. Climbers, like hunters, kill themselves and others every year (directly or indirectly). Its not intentional for the most part, some is ignorance and some is just plain bad luck. Fortunately neither do it in a significant volume. It may come as a shock to you but most people view climbing as dangerous and ridiculous; the same reaction you have to hunting others have to climbing.

I was day hiking on the AT in PA a few weeks ago. I wasn't sure if it was a bear area, so I was singing out loud as I walked down the trail. Anyway, I came across a hunter all decked out in camo crouched by a tree, looking very serious about his mission. He looked pretty pissed at this singing laughing wierdo freak coming down the trail, and when I saw him I shouted "hey man, don't shoot me!". Needless to say I doubt he saw any deer for awhile! :lol:

I'm personally to drunk to tell the difference between a deer or anything else in the woods when I go hunting. In the past I would take a mirror to see behind me but I stopped when I almost shot myself a few years back. I could have sworn I saw horns coming out of my head.
