SummitPost.org

I've been using Peakbagger (www.peakbagger.com) for several years now. While it isn't useful as a journal for hiking, it is awesome for keeping track of peaks - including routes, trip reports, etc. I recently had to submit a climbing resume' with an application, and it was super easy to just link to my Peakbagger page. Maybe you'll find it useful. One thing that is kind of cool is that it creates lists for you as you log peaks. Watch out - it can be addicting.

Kinda' curious, you've been an SPer since '08, you've posted 3 total times, you have nothing on your profile page and then you advertise another website for something that SP basically does as well. It's none of my business but you didn't find what you wanted or needed here at Summitpost?

Peakbagger is quite different from SP. The descriptions are sparse, but the coverage of peaks is much, much greater than in SP, and the interface is simpler and easier to handle. I don't use it, but several friends do.

Thanks for rolling out the welcome mat, Marmaduke. I've been reading the SP forums for five or six years. I don't post often - only when I feel that I have something helpful to contribute. My profile page has info on it and I've posted a few photos over the last couple of years. Not sure why you're seeing nothing.

I think SummitPost has a lot to offer. While I couldn't care less about things like Power or Voting Weight, I enjoy the featured articles and almost never climb without reading the SP page for my objective. But there are other great mountain-related websites out there, and Peakbagger does what it does very well. I mean no disrespect to SP, and I gain nothing by mentioning Peakbagger (no affiliation). I just think that it would provide the OP with a very good way to build/manage his climbing resume'.
