Joined in August '07 but didn't start posting 'till fall '08. Got several mountain pages deleted because they were major bush league. Then I learn how to do it right! So it's really been 3 years. :)

If you had never posted a single page, your pictures alone would be of immeasurable value to SP. Very Inspiring they are, Noondueler...

This one was my desktop at work for some time a few years back.

Good one Larry!
After curing the Curse of the Bambino they've still got the Jeters! The whole lot has been sent packing for their hunting trip by now anyway along with the snakes and the cheese steak boys.

9 1/2 years as of right now! February will be my 10th year! Seen the site grow and change a lot during that time!

For me, going on 8 years, or maybe it's been eight years, and going on 9. Something like that.

Also, I want to confirm that the math in the cartoon above checks out. There no pressing need to split the integral at 2, but it's not incorrect, either. A "two-limit" approach would work, but it can be messy notation. If there's one thing I appreciate about SP, it's the generally correct math on it.

OK, my milestones:

10 years ago I found out about SP while recovering from my first meniscus tear (on the right knee) after rock climbing.

3 years later, I joined SP while recovering from my second meniscus tear (on the left knee) again after rock climbing.

Now, 10 years later I am recovering from a fall while rock climbing ( sustained a compression fracture, on the first lumbar vertebra). Fortunately, no lasting damage, just healed bruises & pain.

Mmm, I wonder whether there is an unwritten message (warning) for me?

In between these milestones, I had great experiences in mountaineering and greatly enjoyed the posts, useful articles and super photos at SP.

Hello Diego:

Thank you for the support. Despite the scary fall and the resulting compression fracture, once I recover from the injury, my plan is to continue climbing next summer. I guess that mountaineering is quite addictive!

Man, I hated doing integrals like that when I was in college!
