I'll have to watch that one. Sub Zero is also pretty bad, so bad it even uses stock footage from Vertical Limit.

I watched the first five minutes of Sub Zero the other day. It was like the opening scene of Vertical Limit, but not as realistic.

The trailer for Killer Mountain was a bit tedious, but after it finished, I was offered a great menu of syfy choices.

I can't comment on the clip since I haven't seen it, but I did catch about 2 minutes of Cliffhanger the other day. I don't even think Vertical Limit was worse than that: two guys tandem soloing a 1000' long overhanging arete with big packs on, Sly doing a one arm hang while he reaches for his handy bolt gun to blast in what looks like a ice screw...

Bad, just really, really bad.

This "Killer Mountain" trailer is big time fail. Aside from everything else that super climber that is supposed to save the day is pretty chunky for one. The moment with 3 people in horizontal formation on the same rope is super, as well. These people are out of their mind.

I dunno, "Killer Mountain" looked pretty cool, reminded me of my last expedition.

At least in "The Climb" the guys looked like they're in shape. "Killer Mountain" looks like a serious contender for The Worst, but Sub Zero is still at the top of my list. It's so much worse than Vertical Limit just because so much of it looks like some elementary school class shot the footage. The acting is so bad, it's almost unbelievable.

Funny how Hollywood loves the lore of climbing and yet has no desire to represent it with any accuracy. Turns out that trudging with a pack on for days of an approach is boring. Sitting in a tent smelling farts waiting for weather is boring. Melting snow for hours on end is boring.

Wait, why the hell do we do this? :D

Because we all have so much going on in our brains we don't need crazy things like entertainment! This summer I got my lips so sun burnt they cracked and bled and I couldn't stop laughing thinking how dumb it was, that made them bleed worse.... but it was a form of entertainment I guess...

What about Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible. You can even see the epoxied hand holds. Haha
