we had a horrible winter for skiing this year. if only i had the money to venture out of my home state in order to ski. The resorts were hit pretty hard by lack of snow of snow but i did end up getting a nice day of ski granular ice and mud during February.

Skied the South side of Castle Peak above Donner Pass yesterday .Good coverage and Spring conditions but not slushy despite warm temperatures because of overcast .Grand views of Lake Tahoe Area peaks and no other skiers.

My last ski trip was yesterday, when I went up to my regular spot, about an hour drive from home. It was a beautiful day if you like to watch snow melt! :lol:

It's funny, here in southern California, we can have winter one day, and summer the next. So yesterday was a bit of a washout...literally! There were a few spots I went through ankle deep puddles on the way down, and the path I skinned up was partially dirt on the way down. Almost unbelievable that only two days earlier, we had powder!

Two years ago this month. I hadn't skied much in recent years, with 3 kids it got too expensive so my wife and I stopped. But I went up with my son and we had a great time. Two months later he became ill and due to his illness doesn't remember the trip :cry:
