"cool" is the word you use Bubba? Wonderful!! what a great find on your part. Thanks for sharing with us. The photo of the sailboat on the Truckee River in Western Nevada is intriguing to me. The water level is high enough to accommodate a boat that size but yet there isn't any noticeable current in the river. You travel that area now the water level is low and if the water is high it's moving with class 2/3 rapids,. How times have changed...........

The subject of this thread made me think of a book I have browsed, called Exploring with Custer: The 1874 Black Hills Expedition. It compares photos taken during the expedition with present-day photos taken from the same places.
