Dear friend Paulo Roberto, Parofes,
I cannot thank you enough for all that you have brought to the table here on Summit Post. You showed us how to be strong, how to be brave, how to be humorous and how to live life to the fullest. You showed us how to fight, and how to have grace under pressure. It may be too late for me, but only if we all could be a little like you!

Like I said privately, you will not be gone, you will be gone ahead.

I like to think I will have that same belief when the time comes, that death is the truly great adventure. I hope that I will that brave when the end is near to still believe that.

I thank you for saying goodbye. My best wishes to you, and especially your family. I am sure your passing will leave a great void in their lives.

I never got to climb with you, but perhaps we will on the other side. I expect you to have a big ticklist waiting for me. Godspeed.

I went back through your pictures and printed one titled "Another big FUCK LEUKEMIA - part 2 (Splattski)" from Oct 11, 2013.
It will ride in my pack up Colorado summits this year.

Goodbye Parofes and peace be with you as you go back into the light. I hope I'll be as brave as you when my own time comes. You're an inspiration. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. Even though I never met you in person, I'll never forget you.

Such a dear and wonderful soul, may you be at peace and in no pain now. There are no words that could express my sadness to see you go but know that you as was said before, are going ahead to lead the path for us, to guide us into whatever is beyond this life.

Thank you for your humor, your joy in living (jumping especially) and sharing your wonderful view of your world.
