Whew... great series of storms. Most obeservations I made will be old now since we're getting a minor wind/snow event right now.

Big Cornices out there!

Deeeep today! Gave up on waiting for LCC road to open so we went to BCC instead. Short Swing was really deep. It rained obviously and turned to snow sometime last night then turned cold. The new snow ended up being really light and cold. It continued to puke all day and should until the sun goes down. Cold night, and tomorrow should be another great one. At least 12" in lower BCC, probably more up higher. No visibility all day, so I couldn't see anything other than the drainage I was skiing in. I wonder if a natural cycle tore out at some point.

DEEEEP!

Any updates on snow quality? I'm looking to get out with some friends on Saturday but it looks like the low at 8700 ft is forecasted 33F. Makes me wary.

June 2nd.
South facing around noon. Cut a slab on a rollover that broke on the new/old snow interface. We should have been down earlier.

Cascade couloirs in great condition. With mountain roads opening up, access is great! Couloir refreezes have been good, providing fast ascents.
