Geez ... OMG ..... have you been living in a cave on Stansbury Island ?????
Phenom wrote:Cool you got those TT summits in Victor. I remember you mentioning those while out on Deseret Peak a couple weeks back. You end up dropping down Broads Fork or Blanche Fork? Cool to end up in the same parking lot either way.
I hit up Lone again last week, tossing in that Little WIllow headwall summit and Enniss Peak in for some fun. Went up early to beat the wind in the p.m. Today it was the Box Elder peaks, heading up trail 44, hitting up the south and south east summits, up the south ridge to the main summit, and down trail 43. Fun easy loop hike up there. It's been since March of 2009 since hitting up Box Elder, getting back up there again was fun. Someone knocked that huge cairn down up there... big pile of rocks now. Saw about 10 people the whole time while up there, surely a far cry from the masses on the big mountain to the south.

I was up there on Friday. When were you there?

Cool pics! I had thought about Box Elder the day after Deseret too, but for whatever reason lazed out and did Mt. Ogden instead. TTI dropped back Broads Fork...I had heard about cliffs going down towards Lake Blanche. I think I was a little off route though...I must've ended up NE face-ish as I was trying to contour straight towards the divide ridge btw the two drainages...should've headed more east-ish. Good way to get my first Wasatch 11'ers though.
Saw a group of 3-4 ascending BF Twins when I was going up Sunrise, then maybe 3 more groups of 2 going up or down as I was descending from Dromedary. What shocked me was aside from them, I saw absolutely no one on the trail from the beginning of the climbers trail as it emerged from the snow around 9500' all the way to within 100 yards of the trailhead parking lot. On a Saturday no less. Obviously there seemed to be plenty of people coming and going from Lake Blanche.
