Getting FIL out on crampons tomorrow, suggestions?

My In-Laws are here for Christmas, and while the girls are out spending money (snooze) Father In Law and I thought we would like to go out and kick holes in our pants. :D He has only been on spikes once, and I thought it would be fun if I could get him out on something easy and scenic, some ice maybe, some snow for sure, something not requiring ice screws. Placing gear is no problem, I just don't want it to get out of hand, because we are saving our bones for breaking skiing Christmas day.
Looking for suggestions. I considered Lisa Falls, but I don't know how filled in it is. Just booting around in Provo Canyon somewhere, maybe checking out Bridal Veil for a bit sounds like fun too, but I don't know much over there.
Please chime in if you have thoughts. :)

Michael

Wrong year for showing off Utahs majestic winters. Haha. Perfect winter for dirt biking. :-) I am on ADV too (MSH). I have been waiting for some decent snow so I can snowshoe up Farmington Canyon. I hear Francis Peak is a hoot to tele down.

Hey MSH!
Mountaineering Christmas Eve seems like a holiday tradition I could get used to. Sadly, the waterfall I was leading collapsed underneath me, and I plunged into a pool of freezing water up to my knees. Ironically, or not, this was at "Lisa Falls". I think that ice is not ready yet. Still, we went on for a few hours more, despite the sloshing in my boots, dulling the new axes on my old handles, and fumbling over hidden rocks. It was totally worth it, and my FIL was awesome, we both laughed heartily. I would never have guessed that my first mountaineering partner in Utah would be my father in law, but it was great that way. A really Merry Christmas.
