I've got some almost unused gear for sale suitable for 8000m peaks; an unsuccessful Cho Oyu trip means I have, mostly unused:
La Sportiva Olympus Mons Evo boots, size 45 European, used for one day only (!) - looking for US$550 inc delivery to mainland US. Retail price in the UK is about $1040. I have size 10 (US) feet and these are perfect. Will throw in a pair of sized vapor barrier socks with the boots too.
Crampons fitted to match - Grivel G12 with curved bar, perfectly fitted $150
RAB down suit (a UK brand, best quality equivalent to TNF etc) mens Large , retail value $1080 also for US$550, check out http://www.rab.uk.com. Completely unused.
RAB expedition 1200 sleeping bag should be $800 will take $400. Completely unused.
Based in the UK but can easily mail anywhere; you can email me at: steve@trekco.com

Thanks Kevin, that's great. Annoyingly I was over in January climbing at Joshua Tree and could have brought them; wish I'd thought to advertise before. Anyway, delivery is easy enough. If you give me your address I'll arrange it. Is Paypal OK?
Cheers

Steve

I prefer Paypal. So if you run off with my money, Paypal can track you down. Where are you located? I know it might not be possible but would like to try the shoes on. I have two pairs of LS mountain boots, one in 43.5 & 44. I'm US size 10-10.5. I remember trying on the Mons in a shop in Anchorage and it ran a bit small.

Kevin - I'm near Brighton, an hour outside of London, happy to link up with someone here. I can send next day delivery in the UK for only a few pounds (I have a store, but that's nothing to do with this sale).

I am a US10 shoe size; sometimes US10.5 depending on the manufacturer. For a comparison, I suit Nike Air trainers best and am always a US10 in those, although I'd say that I'm always on the larger side very slightly; never smaller. Could never fit in a 9.5 whatever the brand, but sometimes go upwards. I spend about a month every year in the US so am pretty certain of that.

I was advised to get them a UK size up; I'm normally 43 European so a full UK size up is 45 Euro. You need the vapor barrier socks which are a US make anyway; these are not very thick so the sizing works out right. They fit me perfectly.

Hope this helps

Cheers

steve, the price is great but i'm hesitant with the sizing as i'm unable to try the boots on. once i get it and if the sizing is no good, i'm kind of stuck.

Sergio - the manufacturer's picture is at:http://rab.uk.com/products/expedition-gear/expedition-suit.html and it's exactly that. I have a picture of my suit to confirm the condition; not sure how to post it here - can I email it to you?

Kevin - I understand. How about if I find out how much postage would be and we both take a chance, I'll pay to mail them to you - then if you want them pay me on Paypal, if not you pay postage to return them? I think from what you've told me that they'll fit you hence the confidence.
