A bag this light with a rating of thirty degrees seems too good to be true but that's because this is actually a bag with sides and top but no base. Underneath there's just a mesh sleeve designed to hold a sleeping mat. That means all the insulation is on the top, where it's needed. There's no hood, just a drawcord at the top, but there is a boxed foot.
The Top Bag can also be used over another bag, adding insulation to the top in colder weather, a good way to upgrade a three season bag for winter use. This bag won't be for everyone but if you're prepared to adapt you'll save weight and space in your pack.
