Page ownership switch suggestion.

The page for Pu'u Konahuanui is less-than adequate, plus the owner of that page has not been online for quite a while. I think it would be beneficial for the Konahuanui page to be transfered into the ownership of Sp user Alika who knows a lot about these mountains, and is in the process of making an area/range page for the range that this mountain is in.

Normal procedure would be for someone to ask for the page to be transferred after trying to contact the current owner. Perhaps you could check with this person to see if they want the page?

Hey, Bob ??

What if the original owner of the pages NEVER answers back - e-mail or otherwise ?

Does that mean the pages can be transferred to a different (perhaps more dependable) owner

???

I tried to contact this person OVER two months ago, and he never answered back :

Unfortunately the Email link is not currently working on SP, so no email is getting to other users.
What page are you referring to?
If the page has corrections posted that have not been addressed, that's one indicator that a new owner may be warranted. If the person hasn't been on SP in a long while, that is another one. In this case, the owner you refer to was last on SP in October, not all *that* long ago.

I know, but I think he just clicked on and off.

NOTHING was done as far as getting his pages corrected and/or improved.

I would love to take over the Puu Konahuanui page as a child of the Ko'olau Mountain Range page I finally posted today. The creator of the Konahuanui page has not been on summit post since April 2006, so I didn't try to PM them, but what is the procedure here, what can I do?

I have been hiking up to Konahuanui for years and it is among the mountains I love the most and have spent the most time around, and I work on a forest restoration project on a forestry permit from the State of Hawaii right along the approach.

The page is now yours.

The procedure is given here in the FAQs.

Thanks

Ok, I made you the owner of this one. As for the others, I didn't see corrections needing to be addressed. I'm not sure why you say they need updating. Are there items there that are out of date? Certainly not just because they haven't been edited in the past few years. If you've climbed any of those and would like to own them (assuming there are items that need addressing), let me know. PMs to the elves work best for these things, btw.
