Lodewijk, can you please check this again. I believe it is fixed now.

Yes it is fixed, thanks!

Yeah, that's not going to work. I'm going to need to better understand the issue by investigating the HTML, so can you post a link to a page with good table HTML? Then post a link to a page where you've created a table with the new editor so I can compare what exactly the difference is between the two.

This one shows up pretty good under the old editor (though still not as good as it looks in editor before submission):

Here is one under the new editor where the borders are gone and everything is smashed together:

Since changed are being made, would it be possible to fix the photo rotation issue? I'm not sure if it can be fixed or not (it isn't just an SP issue). A lot of people have found a way around it, but it seems that new members haven't and judging by some of the photos added, some older members haven't either. It would be great if there was a way to fix it.

Also, would it be hard to add the missing countries into the drawdown?

Scott wrote:I also noticed (this is more minor) that all photos in charts created under the old editor seem to have a darker band towards the bottom of the photo. Of course this is more minor than the problem above.

Added to the list of things to address.

If it helps, I did figure part of it out. The darker area is apparently where the caption is supposed to go. It isn't only on charts, but on any photos without a caption (photos in charts are usually too small for captions). I assume it was programmed that way on purpose to make the caption stand out more, so it only affects photos without captions. Anyway, it is a fairly minor issue.

Thanks.

The issue with tables and borders should be fixed now.

Scott wrote:Since changed are being made, would it be possible to fix the photo rotation issue?

What is the photo rotation issue? Is there an issue with images being uploaded to the server and they aren't orientated correctly? That's not something we can fix on our side. That will have to be done by the user before uploading it. Unless, of course, we add functionality to edit and rotate images. I suppose that's possible, but it would likely be quite a bit of work. I can look into it though.

Scott wrote:If it helps, I did figure part of it out. The darker area is apparently where the caption is supposed to go.

Right, yeah, I figured that. And ideally it shouldn't be showing when there is no caption. We'll see if we can find a fix.

Hmm, it still doesn't look fixed on my end.

Something like that. Here is an SP article:

I assume it can't be fixed on the SP side, but I thought I'd point it out just in case.

Anyway, thanks for the other fixes.

The table on this page doesn't look fixed now?:

If not, can you provide a screenshot or a link to another page that doesn't look right.

It looks good now. I'm not sure why it wasn't working before.

Thanks.

Just a reminder: The caption under an image in a mountain page is distorted when using different font colors. The text overwrites making it impossible to read.
Can this be fixed? :)

I am not sure what that refers to. I am still unable to create a table or align pictures right or center if I try to make a new page. The same problems that I mentioned before still exist.

Possibly. I'll pass it on to the design guy but to me it seems pretty low priority right now with the other more serious issues.

nader wrote:I am not sure what that refers to. I am still unable to create a table or align pictures right or center if I try to make a new page.

It was referring to Scott's issue with borders not displaying on the live pages as they do in the editor.

Creating a table works. But inserting images within a table doesn't work yet. This bug has been reported to the software group who makes the editor and they said a fix is coming soon.

And I just created a new page and inserted images and aligned them right, left and center without any problems. Maybe you were trying to align them when they were in a table? Can you post a link to a new page created where you have an example of images you tried to align that didn't?

The first two pictures are supposed to be aligned right and the third one left. They all appear in the center.

There is supposed to be a table under Red Tape. nothing shows. When making the page, I could not put my cursor in the cells of the table

"Do not vote will be deleted soon" is supposed to be bold, it is not

FYI, any page with photos already in it is impossible to edit. Or so it seems.

Did you say you created a new one and it worked?

Here's an example of one I can't edit:

What type of device and browser are you using? I suspect that there is something related to your setup that is causing these issues.

I just edited the page, using the new editor, and put in all of the markup that you said was already there, but wasn't. I did the following:
- Bolded the "Do not vote will be deleted soon" text
- Put text in the table to show it's there (borders are invisible on the live site now -- this is something we should fix)
- Aligned the images as you indicated (first 2 to the left, 3rd to the right) and they all appear correct now. In the editor when I edited the page, those images were all aligned center.

There is a known problem when editing or adding images inside tables. I'm guessing that's what you're seeing on that page you linked to since all of the images are inside of the table?

Other than the first six lines, I can't edit anything at all on such pages, nor can I even see the rest of the page in edit mode.
