Lone good pages that need to be attached

Quite often, on SP, I see good pages (albums, peaks, routes), in most of such case when created by a recent member, which are not attached to anything, for various reasons. Some do not fully understand how to attach pages, some are not aware of this feature, some people focusing too much about the content forget about this aspect. In some cases the owner(s) of the parent or related objects can remedy to it, but in some other cases they were absent for a long time, do not often connect, which doesn't allow fixing it.
This thread is not to be mistaken with bad pages. The goal would be to put SP in better order and to leave less good pages apart.
I'm waiting for some feedbacks about this ideas, and precisely if elves would be OK to help about it, to start giving a couple of links.
Eric

When you see these pages, contact the respective owners. One or the other can do the attachment. If the owners are unresponsive or inactive, you can notify the elves, who can do the attachment.

My idea was exactly for the last case you describe, here are a couple of pages for which this is the case. The 3 albums are imho worth of mention..
parent : http://www.summitpost.org/area/range/39 ... eniny.html
could be attached :
http://www.summitpost.org/album/610628/Pieniny.html
http://www.summitpost.org/album/638073/ ... -MTS-.html
http://www.summitpost.org/album/232959/ ... eniny.html

Yep, these should be tied together somehow. We also must add that the referred area page is quite "basic". Having spent there only one day, I could write up at least as much as this, or actually more...

That's another problem which, as mentionned, doesn't fit in this thread ;)

About the page-- I agree it needs work. Since the owner is active, the first step is to contact him about sharing or adopting the page if you feel willing to improve it.

I just looked at those pages. The albums are by active owners, so please contact them or the area page owner. I was under the impression that the owners were inactive. The album owners may not know the area page exists, or they may for some reason not want the albums attached.

Also, I'd rather focus on mountains, routes, and trip reports, not things like albums, please.

Konrad is an active owner, but for some people attaching objects to each others is more hassle to do than for others. We must understand it and be a bit tolerant with it. That's the goal of my idea here. As for speaking the content of the Pieniny page, as I said it's another topic to be developped elsewhere.
Talking about the clildren pages, Romuald Kosina never attached any of his pages (the Sleza pages that we had to attach to the region); which can be easily forgiven when watching how richly documented they are. Wlado also regularly posts some very interesting stuff, with lots of uncommon pitctures in offtrails places, but also seem not to be too familiar with attachements.

Then contact them and tell them. Going around attaching albums to pages is not something staff members have the time or interest in doing.

Why, yes, they can. Did you want us to do that?

You can also ask the owner of the parent-page (the page-things-need-to-be-attached-to) to do the attaching, if the owner of the child-page (the page-that-needs-to-be-attached-to-something) is inactive / unresponsive.
