New Feature Idea

I think this is a great idea for a feature that I (and countless others) would certainly use. I'm not sure what to call it, but for now lets call it "climb finder." This would be a way to search for climbs near you that are at your skill level that you may have never heard of. You put in your zip code, how far you're willng to drive, the desired difficulty range (ie class 2-class3 scramble), desired length trip, desired elevation gain, etc. Then hit the "go" button and SP gives you search results for peaks that reach your criteria.

I think this feature would quickly become very popular as it is an easy way to find new climbs in your area that you have never heard of. Hopefully SP can put it to use.

Good idea.

In addition, you can get a flavor of this from the existing "people who climb what you climb" feature, since that's likely to pull the peaks similar to what you already do.

This semi exists already in the advanced search. But I'll admit a few more features would be nice like distance, elevation gain, and in putting ones personal address rather than just the city for searching.

Here is a demo of Results within 50 miles of SEATTLE, US and within class 3 to class 5.6.

It would also be neat to find climbers based on a search. Mountain Project has this kind of feature:
