Well, i suppose the holidays have something to do with the non-posting...

Lots of food and drinks make SP users lazy...

SP v2 is pretty good. 12 new mountain pages in the last 4 days alone, plus an addictive helicopter game.

Now if only we could get SP Points for our score on the helicopter game. (just kidding)

I do admit that things do seem rather on the slow side (entertainment sense), although on the bright side summitpost is going at a decent speed on my end. So tell you what, I'll get working on my grand adventure trip report to help SP from "dying". :)

And for those who cannot wait, here is a spoiler:

Daria's ex-doormat.

Ex would mean past tense. I think they have a lot of future ahead. Future doormat.

I have heard about this forever. SP is far from dead. It is winter in the Northern Hemisphere and not as many people are getting out during this time. Believe me, you will see plenty from my Washington State friends in the coming months. I would recommend you though help contribute to the site. You have some good photos. Maybe throw in a TR or two. Don't panic!!! The best is yet to come for SP!!! :D :D :D

I don't think SP is dying, just a little low profile right now.

Well, I just did a new TR to get things going on for us, at least a good reading I can give you.
And I still have dozens of mountain pages to do, but not for now...

Seriously though, thanks for sharing an adventure. Josh posted some fun ones the past few weeks as well. For the sake of my wife and kids, I try to keep my adventures on the tame side lately, but sometime I really ought to do more than make quick mention of unexpected excitement in summit logs and forum posts. Whether making much noise about it, or not, the audience here relates to and appreciates situations in the mountains more than the average person. Maybe first up should be my recent daytrip to the summit of Shasta. I've got mint condition ice axe and crampons for sale 'cus I decided to just run to the top barefoot and shirtless and glissade down. 3 hours round trip in December! If I can do that, I figure I won't need them anywhere else I plan to go. I was considering going for this guys record, but once was enough and I didn't want to miss Christmas dinner: http://pweb.jps.net/~prichins/shastarw.htm

The scary part is that's actually Joe Biden's brain, which explains a lot.
