Since canyons can be featured now, here's a great one by Scott Patterson: http://www.summitpost.org/canyon/301176/bluejohn-canyon.html

It has 7 detailed routes attached, too.

Mountain page by Nelson is not only well written but accurate and useful when I hiked up this mountain last year:

Why is the Grand Canyon page featured?

The page has not been updated since February 15, 2006 and the maintainer has not been active since February 22, 2006.

Woops...sorry. I write down page numbers and possible photos in a list that I'm considering. I entered the wrong numbers. The correct choice is now up-The Black Canyon. Thanks Alan for ringing my bell!

Aaron the site is looking great and its nice to see so many quality mountains, areas, routes, etc...highlighted on the front page as they should be. Keeping Focus here :D

Next time Matt is performing maintenance on the site, please consider increasing the objects listed on the " Past Featured Pages " from six to a higher number such as nine or tweleve. Should be an easy fix. Then it would be easier to view and we won't have to click through so many " Next " pages. They are adding up quickly.

I think the new Manzano Mountains page ought to be featured. It is a good page on a little known range in New Mexico. This is a state and an area that haven't gotten much attention on SP lately.

Lists are probably not meant to appear in the featured pages, but this one is really well done :
Mountains of England (by Nanuls)
