I assume most of us don't pay that much attention to the photo of the moment (at least I don't).

If you don't like the photo of the moment feature, it's best to just ignore it.

I dig the photo-of-the-moment, and consider it a cool feature.

YAWN .... think I'll seek out the confines of a dark, musky cave and count bats; just like some folks count sheep.

Or hundreds of the same shot of a mountain. This morning, the POM was a shot of Mt. Rainier; not bad, but just your usual shot. It was attached to the Mt. Rainier page, which has 1974 photos. I'll bet there are at least a few photos there almost exactly like this one.
