Anyone heading up? Thinking of flying into Weed Friday after work and climbing either Casaval or Avy Saturday. Anyone going to be there? Share gas money? Scott (Santa Rosa)

Oh yeah, forgot that was there since no one posts here!! Weed has an airport I can land at, simple! I have a car to borrow there.

Cool. That's almost enough to make me want to change plans this weekend. Not sure I could though. Been planning on Whitney for a while. Maybe another time if you are interested. Weather should be great this weekend.

Does anyone know the snow conditions on Shasta right now, after the last storms? Is it feasible to try Green Butte or Casaval Ridge car to car? Or is it too deep and slow? How long does the right side of Green Butte remain avalanche-prone (I haven't been on that side before)? Thanks for the advice!
