Two of my Canadian ice climbing partners got out together this past week......and one just added a head cam to his repertoire.....he is a member of SP (pvalchev), but of the quiet, busy and humble variety....so I am posting this up as good motivation to get out on some ice....nice work Peter!

That is great climbing and the helmet cam shows a very good perspective and quality video.

Bill, you need get down here for some fun in the sun this season...Peter was just here for a short stint, Jason coming in March. In fact Jason had me buy him a Ghost junker he will be driving all the way back. One I would not hesitate to leave in the river if push came to shove. I hope he is one hell of a mechanic! Will leave the light on Bill. (wish you and I had figured out that natural gas storage solution!)

Dow - I could really use some sun - I will see if I can get some time.

The natural gas prices really have come back - we would have made a killing buying at less than $2 and selling at $5.40. :D

Thx guys... I made a shorter, 3-minute version too:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8uK6oJTyOmo&hd=1

I took a bunch more footage from 2 other climbs but this one has the special cave footage which is pretty hard to get, so I think this one turned out the best... I do have sound too, but don't know enough about video editing yet to incorporate multiple audio channels and tweak the volume/do audio transitions etc... it was fun to learning something new though.

Thanks for posting - shows me I'm light years away from such elegance on ice.

he is a member of SP (pvalchev),

After we saw the video, the next day we met "pvalchev" in Ghost.

World is so small.

welle, we are far from experts, just weekenders with desk jobs... all it takes is some mileage to get comfortable with the medium... I'm sure you are much closer to this comfort level than you think!! Hell I'm lucky if I get out ice climbing 5 times a year these days, living so far away from it.

Charles, thanks, you should get one, with some of the sweet stuff you & your partners have done on such high levels, it would be a treat to get a helmet cam angle on your climbs.

And ya, that was funny running into you attimount, I didn't even manage to get your name? I think Dow and I ran into travelin_light at the hut in the Bugaboos several years ago, the climbing community isn't that big :)
