Hello all,
I'm trying to find out info on Mt. Hayes. What there is out there isn't a whole lot. I'm interested in doing the NE Face and wondering if anyone has some insight. I know that the west face was climbed last year. Just wondering if there has been an ascent of it or if it is a death trap. Any info that you can provide would be great. Thanks Rik

"What there is out there isn't a whole lot."

Check out the 1938, 1942, 1947, 1949 (September), 1952, 1955, 1959, 1965, 1968, 1971, 1972, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1984, 1985, 1988, 1989, 1993, 1997, 2002, and 2010 AAJs.

How much more do you need?

I believe Brad Washburn did extensive exploration in the area in the 30's and 40's. And maybe David Roberts in the 60's. That's going off memory of the books I've read. Maybe "Google" using their names. Bob Bates as well.

I guess I didn't search in the right area. I just kinda did the lazy google search and it didn't bring a whole lot up through that. Looking in the AAJ definetly has some good info. Thanks for that idea. I'll search for Bates and Roberts also. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. :-)

A friend has been back there a couple times to attempt Mt Deborah and Mt Hayes. He said the rock was really bad.
