Posted: Sun Apr 29, 2012 2:08 am6 Years ago I found a great guest house in the very small town of Field (Pop. 300, North of Banff and Lake Louise near Yoho). It was very reasonably priced, and closer to where I wanted to hike/climb. The Trans-Canadian RR passes through it at night, the only drawback. Restaurants are sparse and pricey though. There were several such guest houses in the town. At the time it was a bargain compared to Banff.
