Backpacking in Denali National Park
Posted: Mon Aug 13, 2012 7:49 amI've had a trip planned to Alaska since the beginning of the year. Leaving LA on August 25, and coming back September 1. I'm planning on doing 4-5 days of backpacking through Denali National Park. I'm posting here for 2 reasons:
1. My buddy who was supposed to go with me bailed due to family stuff, so I need to find another partner to join me. Please let me know if you have interest in joining me!
2. I have yet to figure out what I actually want to do during those 4-5 days in the backcountry.
Permits cannot be reserved in advance, so I need to come up with plans A,B and C for an itinerary in case the sections of the park I want to visit are fully booked when I get there.
If you've been to Denali and can offer suggestions for an itinerary, I would love to hear any and all ideas!
