Anyone have a GPS route mapped out for the west buttress that they care to share? I had this for aconcagua and it was great for my piece of mind.

You really dont need it. It is wanded the whole way and you wont be moving in weather that is so bad you cant see where you are. The only thing you really need your gps for is marking caches and it is probably worth tracking your route from ski hill to 11 so you can get down that section easier.

carry enough to mark caches and add a few if needed. 40ish max. Bring two avalanche probes as your main cache markers.

FYI, no need to bring your own wands to Alaska with you. Talkeetna Air Taxi has a trash can full of free wands that departing climbers leave behind. If you don't have avi poles, you can mark caches with three wands duct taped together to mark the center plus a few single wands to mark the perimeter of the cache. Don't forget park rules require you to mark your cache with your expedition name and date.
