Rock climbing feasible right now? I'm from dry Nevada and am rather out of touch with the lovely Cascades it seems. Any recent beta out there or personal insight I may benefit from? Leaving July 8th-19th and looking for trouble. Route suggestions are very much welcomed, but I was looking into the North Ridge [Stuart] and the Serpentine Arete [Dragontail].

Everything is welcomed and appreciated.

Dragontail Conditions

My buddy and I did Dragontail, backbone ridge with fin direct, last weekend... Lots of snow covered the route in the 4th and low 5th class sections and slowed us down quite a bit. A party coming down serpentine had said the conditions on it were similar. If you're looking for perfect conditions, I'd say that it's not quite in right now. Be ready to move quickly and deal with the snow slopes if you go... (My buddy and I had a great time btw, our route was awesome!!!)

Thank you so much. I'm really jazzed to get on these peaks, they look phenomenal and everyone I've spoken with says the same :-) Thank you.
