Mt. Jefferson Whitewater TH

I just called the Detroit Ranger Station and got some conditions info and thought some might be interested. The ranger there said that the road is open to the Whitewater Trailhead, and there is continuous snow only 200' above the trailhead. Jefferson Park Glacier skiing anyone?

In the interest of not spreading lies, there is absolutely *not* skinnable snow just beyond the parking lot, although you can indeed drive to the trailhead. There is a recent TR on CascadeClimbers which details the conditions on Jeff from the Jefferson Park side.
